About Brians Automotive
Brian’s Automotive was founded on July 28th,1975 by Brian Gortney, a life resident of Canton, Ohio. Prior to opening the business, Brian had worked as a mechanic at local Ford, Mazda, and Volvo dealers and was a Volvo Certified mechanic.rnrnEarlier, Brian had worked with both his father and grandfather, who were both mechanics since he was a very young boy. Brian’s grandfather ran a Sinclair gas station and garage in Dover, Ohio and later built his own 5 car shop with an attached office and machine room. Brian’s father, George Gortney, went on to become involved in the auto parts industry as a manufacturers representative and training specialist for major Automotive Corporations, and later became an independent representative for many National Brands of automotive parts. George is currently retired from his business and is running the office as Service Manager at Brian’s Automotive. rnrnGeorge will be the first to greet you when you enter the office at Brian’s Automotive and is always willing to share a lifetime of automotive knowledge. rnrnBrian is an ASE certified “Master Mechanic,” certified in all 8 areas of repair. 1.) Engine Repair 2.) Transmission and Transaxles 3.) Drive train and Axles 4.) Suspension and Steering 5.) Brakes 6.) Electrical Systems 7.) Heating and Air Conditioning 8.) Engine Performance. Brian has been Master Certified for many years and must re-test in all 8 areas every 5 years to maintain his currency. Brian is also Certified for A/C repair by MACS (Mobile A/C Society ). The Shop is a member of the ASA ( Automotive Service Association ) and the IATN.( International Auto Technicians Network ) and Brian is a Certified All Data Automotive Information Specialist.rnrnThe shop is extensively equipped with the latest “State of the Art” diagnostic and repair tools, scanners and computer systems and has an on site machine shop.

Brian is a great guy who won’t try to scare you into repairs you don’t need, and will give you the best price in town. His service is great, he stays in touch with you every step of the way and will answer any questions or concerns you might have. He also worked with me so I could pay for the repairs – both cv joints and a ball joint.\r\nI highly recommend Brian’s Automotive. I plan to go back many times over the next few months to get my 13 year old car in tip top order again! He absolutely has a new loyal customer in me!

Brian worked on my car about 6 months ago. I had an electrical issue that could not be located by any other shop in the area. Brian found the problem and made the repair at a reasonable price. He stayed in touch with me throughout the process and I couldn’t be happier. I thought I was going to have to get a new car!!! I highly recommend Brian’s Automotive.

I had a wonderful experience at Brian’s Automotive, we have a 2001 Saab Station wagon and we wouldn’t take it anywhere else. Brian is well educated with the Saab and their sometimes extra special needs. He was honest and totally kept us in the loop about what we actually needed to repair and didn’t try to talk us into a bunch of extra stuff and focusing on the main problems. I have been to so many places where they try to get you for every little thing and that was not that case what so ever at Brian’s. I feel like it was clean and professional and will be taking our car there soon, I would and do recommend it. I usually don’t write these types of things but was really impressed by our service and hope you give it a try and have wonderful service like we did.
