I came into this shop and ask how much it would be to diagnose and replace the thermostat and water pump – they quoted $57 for the diagnosis and $657 for the work.\r\n\r\nWhen my husband dropped the car off they wrote the quote much higher so I called to dispute it and was told this was there standard price. I asked them not to work on the car because I didn’t feel comfortable with the sudden price change.\r\n\r\nWhen we picked up the car it had been moved and I asked why they said they were about to begin the work when I cancelled.\r\n\r\nI drove it across the street for a diagnosis at another shop and was told that the Coolant hoses were disconnected and all of the coolant was running out of the car…and the car could not be driven it had to be towed!!! Costing us even more money!!!\r\n\r\nThere were no leaks when the car was dropped off at CME. The thermostat light had come on a few weeks earlier we filled up the coolant, nothing was leaking because the car sat in our drive way for two weeks while we were on vacation….until we could drop it off at the shop.\r\n\r\nPlease beware of these vindictive crooks…
