Sold me a car

I bought a car here and then three months (4,000 miles) later, the engine died. After I’d already spent $400 in repairs and maintenence, it needed a $7000 engine replacement. I spoke with four mechanics (one that Comet even referred me to) and they all said that the car was junk when I bought it. Comet themselves admitted in writing that the only assessment they did of the car prior to selling it was to check that it’d pass inspection. They didn’t even do an oil change.\r\nI gave them many opportunities to assist me in ANY way since the car should never have been sold, and certainly not for $10,000. But their only offer was to take the car in as a trade with the same terms that any other dealership would offer me for a worthless heap of metal.\r\nIf you’re a mechanic or if you could have a mechanic fully assess a car prior to your buying it, then maybe it’d be ok to buy from here. However, if you’re an average person who just needs a decent car, do not go here. They will steer you wrong at their own financial benefit.
