alternator and headlight

Dobbs has failed to provide honest and dependable work on two different occasions. The alternator I replaced last year for nearly $900 went out already. Dobbs also tried to charge me $500 to replace a headlight kit. Luckily, I called around to find that it was actually covered under warranty. I was informed by a Dobbs employee that they had access to information on vehicle recalls, however, failed to look up the information prior to the quote. Similar to most of society, I have a family, career and life that requires a dependable vehicle which Dobbs has failed to provide.
oil change; tire rotation

In 30 years of owning cars, I’ve never had more problems than I have with Dobbs. Be very wary about bringing your car to them. \r\n\r\nTwo oil changes back, it appeared they cross threaded my drain plug and then tried to seal with with something, so that I cannot remove it.\r\nI complained, and they were helpful and I took the car in so they could fix their mistake. Everyone makes mistakes. No big deal. \r\n\r\nThey changed my oil again, did a free tire rotation, and told me they had no problem getting the oil plug out. I thought it was my mistake, paid for the oil change, and went on my way.\r\n\r\nI went to put on brakes this weekend, and change the oil, and went to find that two lug nuts where stripped out and I couldn’t remove my drivers side front wheel. I moved on to changing the oil, and found they replace my drain plug with a what looks like a drain plug from a farm tractor. It certainly isn’t one from any automobile. It cannot be removed with socket, and it has a torn o-ring on it. If it is removed, it’ll never go back in again. Which means my oil pan is now ruined. \r\n\r\nInstead of fixing their mistake, they caused more problems. Instead of being honest and saying, yes, we made a mistake, lets make it right, they did a patch job and made my car worse than what it was when I came in. \r\n\r\nThey are very busy and understaffed, and so the mechanic are taking short cuts. When they screw up your car, they’ll patch their mistake and hope you never found out what they did. \r\n\r\nI am hopefully that someone in the company will take interest enough to set things right, but my confidence, at this point, is very low.
