Alignment/front end work

I took my 95 Ford f150 here on the recommendation of Discount Tire for an alignment. I had replaced the entire front end linkage and the truck REALLY needed an alignment after that! \r\n\r\nThey did the work as asked. \r\n\r\nI picked up the truck and they told me that things weren’t really aligned because I needed a new pitman arm. I told them I’d be back in a few weeks. \r\n\r\nA few weeks or so later, I made an appointment to have the pitman arm replaced and the truck realigned. This was strategic on my part as it would immediately follow me replacing the front springs and shocks. \r\n\r\nI drop the car off, I pick it up and the camber looks insane. Must have been 5 to 10 degrees positive! VERY noticeable with the naked eye. I, of course, asked about the camber and was told that camber is not adjustable on the Ford twin I beam suspension.\r\n\r\nI paid my bill and went home where I did some research. Here’s what I discovered…\r\n\r\nThere is a camber bushing that needs to replaced on the twin I beam suspension. Correcting the camber is expensive (the bushings are about $60 each retail) but hardly impossible.\r\n\r\nFurther, I learned that the pitman arm is a non-wearable item on a 95 F150. \r\n\r\nI am not seeking my money back from them. I made the mistake of trusting them and my penance is being out that money. Instead, when I say a place where I can write a review of this shop, I do. I want to tell everybody that these guys have no clue what they’re doing. I didn’t bring in anything bizarre or exotic, just a mid-90’s Ford truck, something around 1 million of these things were built. This is not a rare car at all! This shop couldn’t perform a simple task on a common vehicle and didn’t know what they didn’t know. Alternatively, they knew that they didn’t do the job and simply lied to me.

I come to the Everett Auto Clinic and they do a solid job at diagnosing problems with my vehicle and getting them fixed. They are speedy with correspondence when they need to update you on any issues found with your vehicle, and offer solutions to fix the problem.\r\n\r\nI trust them with oil changes to replacing my timing belt, and other tune up essentials. They’re very friendly and responsive.
